REGISTRATION / PRIVACY

Your email, with a purpose.

This notice describes the SQL Ocean website registration flow.

What you provide

When you register, your email is sent to the SQL Ocean licence service to create or find your registration and send a verification email. Registering here does not subscribe you to marketing emails, purchase a subscription or start your trial.

Referral and campaign information

If you arrive through a referral or campaign link, the website carries the affiliate reference, voucher and campaign labels between pages and includes them with your registration. These details help associate your registration with the offer or campaign that brought you here.

The website temporarily keeps those public link values in this browser tab’s session storage. It does not save your email, activation codes or licence credentials in browser storage. Theme and motion preferences are saved separately on your device.

Information recorded by the licence service

The service records your registration date, trial offer, email verification status, referral and campaign information, and the signup IP address and approximate country where available. An IP address does not reliably identify your physical location.

Optional affiliate tracking

When the Lemon Squeezy affiliate integration is enabled, its tracking script can create a referral identifier. That identifier can be linked to your registration and passed to a later checkout. The affiliate programme determines whether a purchase qualifies for referral credit.

Your choices

You can skip the email step and check download availability. Email verification does not start or extend a trial. Any later payment is a separate checkout.
